before and after sealing
before and after sealing

With all the fine dust and dirt, most of which is caused by countless construction sites, you could actually wash your vehicle every day. Although cleaning at petrol stations and car washes is quite inexpensive, it is rarely professional. Unfortunately, cleaning is often done incorrectly, so micro-scratches are the norm after washing. Bird and bat droppings, salty sea air and strong sunlight then finish off the paintwork.

All this can be avoided with a ceramic sealant from KAIKA TECH.

We love your vehicle! For us, there is hardly anything more beautiful than a well-maintained, shiny and clean vehicle that can be cared for with minimal effort.

Main reasons for ceramic sealing:

  • Long-lasting protection: Unlike wax, which only lasts a few months, our high-quality ceramic sealant can last for several years (often 2 to 5 years) with proper care. It chemically bonds with the paintwork to form a resistant protective layer.
  •  Preserving the value of the vehicle: Well-protected and well-maintained paintwork helps to preserve the value of your car and increases its resale value.
  • Protection against environmental influences: Our sealant protects the paintwork from harmful influences such as UV radiation (which prevents the paintwork from fading), bird and bat droppings, tree resin, insect remains, fine dust, salt and chemicals.
  • Easier cleaning (hydrophobicity): The surface becomes extremely smooth (hydrophobic), causing water to bead up and dirt, dust and other contaminants to adhere less strongly and be easier to remove (‘lotus effect’). After our sealing, you can clean your vehicle with 3 litres of water.
  • Visual enhancement: Our ceramic sealant intensifies the shine of the paintwork and creates a deep colour effect that makes the car look more luxurious.
  • Resistance to micro-scratches: The additional hardness layer makes the paintwork more resistant to small stone chips and fine micro-scratches, such as those that can occur in car washes. However, it does not offer protection against deeper scratches or large stone chips.

In summary, investing in our ceramic coating is particularly worthwhile for those who want to protect their vehicle optimally and in the long term and minimise the amount of care required.

Our quality is first-class. You receive a 2-year warranty on the coating and a certificate from us.

YACHTS AND BOATS

Yachts and boats are exposed to extreme conditions and therefore require regular, intensive and costly maintenance.

We protect your ‘sea pearl’ with the right sealant.

Sealing yachts and boats with our special marine ceramic sealant is particularly advantageous, as watercraft are exposed to extremely harsh and corrosive environmental conditions, especially salt water and intense UV radiation.

Reasons and advantages of our boat and yacht sealant

Sealing offers specific advantages in the maritime sector that go beyond mere aesthetics:

  • Protection against salt water and corrosion: Salt water is aggressive and can attack materials such as gelcoat or painted surfaces. Our ceramic sealant forms an impenetrable chemical barrier that prevents corrosion and damage from salts.
  • UV protection: Intense sunlight on the water quickly leads to chalking (fading) and material fatigue of the gelcoat. Our sealant contains special UV blockers that slow down this process.
  • Reduction of fouling: Although our sealant is not a complete replacement for antifouling paints, the extremely smooth (hydrophobic) surface makes it much more difficult for algae, mussels and other marine organisms to adhere to it. This makes cleaning at the end of the season extremely easy.
  • Lower maintenance costs: Compared to conventional boat wax, which needs to be reapplied every few months, a professional ceramic coating lasts two to five years or even longer. This saves time and labour costs.
  • Hydrodynamic advantages: The smoother surface reduces water resistance. This can lead to increased top speed and slightly improved fuel efficiency.
  • Value retention: A well-maintained and protected yacht retains its shine and is better protected against damage, which has a positive effect on its resale value.
  • Deep shine: The sealant gives the hull and deck a rich, deep shine that significantly enhances the appearance of the boat.
  • Protecting teak wood is particularly time-consuming. Our special teak sealant protects the wood from UV radiation and salt water. The special oils in the teak remain sealed in the wood, protecting it from mould and rot from the inside. The surface is much less slippery than after a wax treatment.

Important note: Sealing and antifouling

It is important to note that ceramic sealing is usually applied above the waterline (on the hull, deck and superstructure) to protect the paint, wood or gelcoat.

The underwater hull, which is constantly in contact with water, still requires a special antifouling treatment. Antifouling contains biocides that actively prevent the growth of organisms, which is a different function to the protective layer provided by ceramic sealing. The combination of both will delight your sailor's heart for years to come.

AEROPLANES

When ceramic coating is applied to aircraft, it offers similar advantages to those seen on cars or boats, but with some specific aeronautical aspects. Our technology is used in both the private and commercial sectors.

Why aircraft are ceramic coated.

The main advantages of our ceramic coating on aircraft are efficiency, protection and maintenance:

  • Reduction of air resistance (aerodynamics): The extremely smooth, hydrophobic surface reduces surface friction and helps to minimise dirt accumulation. In theory, this can lead to marginally better fuel efficiency.
  • Protection against extreme conditions: At high altitudes, aircraft are exposed to extreme temperature fluctuations, intense UV radiation and aggressive liquids (hydraulic fluids, de-icing agents, kerosene residues). Our coating provides a robust protective barrier.
  • Insect protection and easy cleaning: Insects strike at high speed, especially at the front of the aircraft (nose, leading edges of the wings). Our ceramic coating prevents stubborn residues from burning into the paintwork and makes cleaning much easier.
  • Reduced drag (aerodynamics): The extremely smooth, hydrophobic surface reduces drag.
  • Protection against corrosion and icing: The water-repellent properties of our sealant help to reduce ice adhesion, which supports de-icing processes on the ground.
  • Long-lasting shine and value retention: A shiny, clean fleet or private aircraft looks professional and well-maintained, which increases resale value and image. The durability (often 2-5 years in flight operation) far exceeds that of conventional waxes.

Areas of application on aircraft

Our sealant is typically applied to the painted surfaces of the fuselage, wings, tail and sometimes even the windows (special flexible coatings). It is suitable for business jets, private aircraft and, in some cases, specific areas of large aircraft.

Conclusion

Our ceramic sealant is an investment that reduces maintenance costs, protects the appearance and, in some circumstances, can offer minor operational advantages (fuel efficiency through reduced drag). The products we use are specially formulated for the high demands of the aviation industry to ensure adhesion and durability under extreme conditions.

MOTORHOMES & CARAVANS

A ceramic coating for a motorhome or caravan (camper van) is a very sensible investment that offers great advantages, especially for larger vehicles that are difficult to maintain.

The process and benefits are similar to those for cars, but are tailored to the specific materials (often GRP/fibreglass, aluminium or painted sheet metal) and size of the motorhome.

Advantages of ceramic sealing for motorhomes or caravans:

The sealant makes the tedious maintenance of large surfaces much easier:

  • Extreme UV protection: Motorhomes often stand in direct sunlight for months at a time (on holiday or in winter storage). The sealant contains special UV blockers that slow down the chalking process and effectively protect the paintwork.
  • Protection against environmental pollution: It protects against aggressive residues such as black streaks caused by rainwater runoff, tree resin, bird droppings and insects, which quickly settle on large, hard-to-reach surfaces.
  • Significantly easier cleaning: The biggest advantage is hydrophobicity (water-repellent properties). Dirt hardly sticks anymore and the often tedious and time-consuming washing of large vehicles becomes much quicker and easier. The dreaded black rain streaks can be wiped off effortlessly.
  • Long-lasting shine and value retention: A sealed motorhome retains an attractive appearance and is better protected against damage, which increases its resale value (10-20%). The durability is typically 2 to 5 years.
  • Protection of seals and windows: Our special, flexible ceramic sealant can also be used on rubber and plastic windows to protect them from brittleness and minimise the formation of unsightly deposits.

Important information for use on motorhomes

Preparation is everything: As with any vehicle, preparing the surface is crucial. The motorhome must be extremely clean before sealing, free of waxes and grease and, if necessary, polished to remove scratches. GRP surfaces often require intensive basic cleaning to stop further chalking and slow down the chalking process, which also occurs from the inside (GRP also chalks from the inside).

Material compatibility: We have special ceramic products for different surfaces (painted metal, gelcoat/GRP, plastics, windows). It is important to ensure that the right product is used.

Size and effort: Due to the sheer size of a motorhome, doing it yourself is a big project that requires a lot of time, space (ideally covered) and care. That's why over 3,000 customers have already decided to hire us to do it for them.
